Arraiano Tinto
Cumo Do Avia
Cooperative formed by four cousins, who have been recovering the land where their ancestors were born. Located in Val do Mouros, an impressive valley with a magic atmosphere characteristic of Galicia, a land of ancestral mythology. They elaborate small production wines and have started a new project in which we are involved. With maximum respect for the environment, blending local varieties of grapes and making a complete artisan work at the winery.
Grapes coming from different small vineyards with minimum intervention. Carefully hand picked and selected, slow fermentation with natural yeasts during 3 weeks, with 50% of the stems. The fermentation is made in a Galician chestnut foudre. Aging during 4 months in used oak barrels.
Atlantic wine, fresh and sharp. Medium bodied, with a clear purple colour. Fresh and fruity, regarding to berries and flowers. The short period in the chestnut barrels makes the difference.
