Montecucco DOC Sangiovese
This is a red with a noble structure, that is complex and ages well, which is left to settle in French barrels for a long period and then aged in the bottle. It stands out for its complexity, elegance and the perfect expression of the
combination of vine and "terroir"
Grape blend: 90% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet, 5% Merlot
Vineyard Location: All within the Estate at an altitude of 360 m ASL exposure West-Southwest
Cultivation system: Guyot - Runner system
Vine density per hectare: 3,600-5,300
Harvest: By hand during the first half of the month of October
Fermentation temperature: 30°C
Fermentation: Fermentation and maceration in cement and steel.
Ageing: In French barrels for the first and second phases.
Production: 40,000 bottles
Organoleptic notes
Color: Intense ruby red.
Smell: Fine and elegant, with sweet scents of oak that are
well mixed in the underlying fruit which gives depth and continuity.
Taste: It appears very soft and austere at the same time, the tannic texture blends with the fruit in a excellently balanced whole.
The acidity is well blended with the body of the wine, and helps to give pleasant sensations of warmth and strength overall. |
